Is it necessary to save the initial configs?

To each his own, I’ve heard people recommending this before, in fact, I think I even did it on my first lab attempt.

Again, your 8 hours and different strokes for different folks.

Mock Lab - Suggestions

Hello Nagendra!
Funny you should mention Internetwork Expert and NMC. I used both in preparation for my passing the CCIE Lab. Both were SUPERB. No issues with support, quick turnaround on grading, and excellent details on your results.
On the subject of a Mock Lab, my current online CCIE class training culminates in an on-site, proctored, CCIE […]

r/s material

I have a copy of NLI’s Labs 1-5, 6-10… 26-30.
They are great. They are updated and they cover a lot of new material, features, and options.
I know one of the guys who was contracted to write some newer labs and if these were used then, I’d expect that they are in the same tradition […]

DTP vs port-security

Port-security works on trunk ports as well according to the docs (link below, haven’t tried it yet, have to lab that up at home). Let me rephrase the question.
Did Cisco just not bother to implement port-security interoperability with DTP, or is there a specific reason that the two don’t go together?
