RIP v2 routing table

Hi Expert,
My query is :-
I have a serial link and a ethernet link on my 2611 and when i advertise both the networks thru RIPv2, as per the protocol they should show in the routing table as directly connected by only the Serial link shows up and not the Ethernet Link.
Please advise.

can you establish bgp neighbors with ebgp-multihop, could you be going over more then one hop maybe?
