I have a 3 interface pix outside, DMZ, and inside networks for grfrbld.com
I currently have external DNS resolving an external ips for my customers requests to my DMZ web site using static mapping (inside, outside) and an acl to allow port 80 traffic to the server.
I currently have internal DNS resolving a DMZ ip for my employees requests to my DMZ web site using static mapping (inside, dmz) and an acl to allow port 80 traffic to the server.
This is a dedicated DNS server, I need to reallocate it for another project I am working on. I want to change my employee DHCP DNS settings to point to the external DNS server to allow employees and customers to use the same server to resolve DNS for the web site. This will save resources.
my employees on the inside network, now resolve to an external IP, and get a page not found error. How can I configure my PIX firewall to do the correct thing, outside requests to dmz resolve to outside IP, inside requests to dmz IP resolve to dmz ip.
