Does summarization or distribute-list influence EIGRP queries?
Yes. It will send query to every spoke. You need the stub command on the spoke. You could have feasible successors. Up to 6 I believe for each routes that you have
Not sure if Cisco has any updates, but the last time I look at this stub thing, you need to have a hub and spoke topology for this “stub” feature to work - if in a full-mesh and everyone configured with stub, it won’t work…which remind me to check with my Cisco SE on update ![]()

Hello Group!
I have a hub router and several spokes that are not stub yet, but I send only default route to them using otgoing distribute-list. My questions: - if a route gets active, does it send query to every spoke despite of distribute-list? - can I elminiate queries with route sumamrizatoion, or any technics other than seting the spokes as stub?
Thanks, Gabor
