Hi experts, ! I am facing a routing loop in my lab scenario if anyone help me I will really appreciate. ! sorry for my simplified scenario because if I post my full config it will take a long email R2 SW3–| R1—R4 R3 ! SW3,R2 and R3 running EIGRP 100 R1,R2 and R3 running OSPF 1 area R1 and R4 running OSPF area 2 ! R2 and R3 learn EIGRP external route from SW1 and EIGRPOSPF redistributed vice versa ! R2 and R3 learn these EIGRP redistributed OSPF routes via R1. Based on the AD behavior (OSPF 110 EIGRP ex 170) R2 and R3 choose EIGRP external OSPF’s routes next hope is R1 so it cause loops in R2 and R3 I changed the EIGRP external routes distance via “distance EIGRP 90 95″ command, now R2 and R3’s EIGRP external routes next hope is SW3 now the problem is solved. ! My other problem is R2 and R3 learn OSPF external routes via R1 from R4, and it’s redistributed into EIGRP now these EIGRP’s external routes with AD 95 selected as the best route compared with OSPF’s AD 110 and its next hope is each other I mean R3 select these routes (R4 EX OSPF routes) next hope R2 vice versa. so it causing loop. (R2 learn those routes (R4 EX OSPF routes) via EIGRP from R3 and vice versa) ! How to solve these problem? I hope experts surely understand what I am trying to saying.
